"AURORA AFX SUPER II CLONE ". ALL PARTS ARE NEW NEVER RACED! I have no more parts to build these any longer! This is a fast and well done Super II Setup. This is a beautiful repro of the famous Super II's that were released by Aurora.

Often times if you can find a Super II, they run poorly OR aren't really Super IIs... They always were a bit finicky out of the box. They took quite a bit of tinkering to get to run just right even by experienced racers and builders. This is a beautiful O.

Super II Lexan body with a gorgeous paint job. This is a great reproduction with special tweaks that make it a great race car!

I used Fully Oriented Super II blue and yellow magnets. Used a New Old Stock (NOS) Aurora Super II AFX Chassis. I sourced and added the Super II Brush cups. NOS Super II commutator brushes and gold commutator springs were installed. Many guys just use T-jet commutators...

Super II NOS front and side weights were added. A NOS Super II Crown gear was installed. I installed hand picked AJ front and rear rims and axles for a smooth running set-up.

The original Super II's had foam tires. I added a G-plus steel guide pin for ease of replacing on track while racing.

The original plastic one easily broke during racing. The "wide side" was always hard to place car back on track after deslotting.

All parts are NOS including the gear plate, guide pin. A small hollow tube was added to the front weight so that the Super II lexan body could be pinned and mounted as original. This allows you to flip the body forward to view chassis as shown in pics like original Super II's. This is a HOT setup! You will need AT LEAST 18 volts of power and two amps per lane to run this car.

An upgraded controller is recommended as well. I tested at 18 and 22 volts with 10 amp regulated power supply. After a final track test to ensure a quality build, I lightly oiled car in all the right places.
